Sourcing case study
Private label winter scarf program for a wholesale buyer
This example shows how a buyer can move from product selection to sample approval and bulk delivery without a retail-style checkout price. The same workflow applies to scarves, beanies, gloves and winter gift sets.
Trial order
Initial bulk order split across several scarf colors and label options to test retail demand.
Sample target
Material, color, label and packing were checked before bulk production started.
Bulk timeline
Production timing was planned around confirmed artwork, approved sample and final carton marks.
Buyer challenge
The buyer needed a winter scarf supplier in China that could support private label packaging, a low-risk MOQ trial, clear quote tiers and repeat orders before the seasonal peak. The key concern was avoiding vague pricing and late changes after sample approval.
Factory solution
We started with available wholesale scarf styles, then confirmed yarn composition, size, color references, woven label placement, hang tag details, polybag requirements and destination country. The quote included sample cost, MOQ, bulk price tiers, lead time and packaging notes.
Before production, the buyer received sample photos, label placement confirmation and packing layout. During production, we shared progress photos and a final packing check before shipment.
Quote control
RFQ details were locked before sampling: quantity, logo method, packaging, certification needs and delivery window.
Quality control
Material hand-feel, label position, sewing, color consistency and packing were checked against the approved sample.
Repeat order control
Confirmed specs were kept for repeat replenishment so the next order could move faster with fewer sample changes.
Result
The buyer received a practical private label scarf program with clear MOQ, OEM label support, packaging documentation and repeat-order specifications. This reduced back-and-forth and gave the buyer a dependable base for seasonal replenishment.
