About this piece

Full description

  • Varsity and baseball jacket looks
  • Shirt pairing options
  • Streetwear capsule product

Fourteen streetwear options built around varsity jackets, a handful of T-shirts and one base-layer top. A varsity jacket is the anchor piece: ribbed cuffs and a ribbed hem, a front that closes with snaps or buttons, and a body that sits open or shut over a T-shirt. Worn on a doll, the jacket ends around the hip and the collar stands up slightly, which is what makes the silhouette read as sportswear rather than as a coat.

The fourteen options are arranged in two groups here. Colour is mostly navy, royal blue and black. Navy appears in both groups, and royal blue comes as a single-piece jacket. Black is the largest family: several plain black varsity jackets spread across both groups, a black collared version, a black jacket with an astronaut graphic, and a black jacket with a brain graphic. The shirts run in black too, with several black T-shirts and one black T-shirt carrying a car print, and there is a red base layer for wearing under an open jacket. Fourteen images cover the range.

Prices start at $9.99, down from $12.99. The From label means the lowest price here is the one shown, and every option here is listed at that starting figure. Two for $18.99 is the bundle offer, and it is the sensible way to buy a jacket and a T-shirt together, since the two are designed to be worn as a pair.

Streetwear suits a doll that gets changed often, so these sit on the lower price bands. A jacket on its own changes the whole look, and a jacket plus a T-shirt gives you a complete outfit from two pieces you can also split across two dolls. The printed graphics are the loudest thing in the range, while the plain jackets leave the outfit to the shirt underneath. For a photographed scene the graphics look best against a plain background, and our Scene Parts and Display & Storage items give you a way to build the set-up and then keep the pieces flat between changes.

Care: keep these small garments out of the machine. Wash them by hand in cool water, dry them flat, keep the ribbing at the cuffs and hem lying straight while drying, close the front fastenings, and be gentle around any printed or appliqued graphic so it does not crack. Fasten the snaps or buttons before the garment dries so the front edges stay level, and store the jackets flat rather than on a hanger, so the ribbed hem keeps its line.
