Miniature Folding Beach Lounger

A folding sun lounger for dollhouse beach, poolside and garden scenes, built to the 1:12 dollhouse scale used across the range so it sits correctly beside a towel, a bucket or a windbreak in the same frame. The lounger is the piece that gives open ground a reason to exist: set it down first and a beach scene arranges itself around it, with a doll stretched out along the length of it, shoes dropped in the sand at the foot, and a folded towel underneath. It folds flat too, which matters between scenes as much as during them.

Eight stripes are listed at $4.99, the entry price shown on the page, with a compare-at figure of $5.99 alongside it. The labels read Red stripes, Yellow stripes, Green stripes, Black and white stripes, Navy stripes, Royal blue stripes, Sky blue stripes and Purple stripes. A ninth option is labelled Made to order in your own fabric, so a scene built around a colour that is not on that list still has a way in. There is also a price badge of 3 for $12.99, which is the sensible route if more than one doll will be on the sand.

Nine photographs come with this piece, and all nine are labelled as option images rather than main product photos, so each picture belongs to one of the nine choices and can be matched to its stripe as you scroll. There is no separate main photograph of the lounger on its own, so the option images are doing both jobs at once: showing each stripe and showing the shape of the piece.

This belongs to the Garden & Outdoor side of the site, alongside the garden seating, the grills and the ground cover that turn a shelf, a tray or the lid of a box into somewhere outdoors. If the lounger is the first outdoor piece you are buying, that is the group to shop next, and it is also where the pieces that sit under and around it come from. Doors, windows and boundary parts live in Scene Parts, while the indoor clutter comes from Mini Furniture, Home Accessories and Mini Plants.

Folding miniatures reward a light touch. Open the lounger on a flat surface rather than pushing it past its resting position, lift it by the body of the piece rather than by a thin edge, and dust it with a soft dry brush instead of a damp cloth. Keep it out of long spells of direct sun so the stripes stay even, and store it flat.
